Our History

Our activity started in 2000, from feeding 3-5 homeless people, who were in various addictions.
“ We clearly understood that if we gave money for food as they had asked, they would spend it on alcohol or drugs”
On the other hand, it is our duty of mercy to help people in need. Therefore, we decided to provide the poor with hot meals. At first, they were fed on tables in the open air.
In 2003, we bought a construction trailer and equipped it with tables. With the growing crisis and the impoverishment of the economy, the number people in need of hot food increased. Soon there were more than 40 people and they no longer fit in the trailer.

We welded more tables from sheets of iron and
again began to feed people in the open air.

At the same time, used building wall panels were donated to us, from which we built a
refectory for the poor with a capacity of 150-200 people in 2013. We bought kitchen
equipment, utensils, and since then we have not missed a single day so as not to feed
the needy.

Throughout this time, there were people all over the territory of Ukraine and the city of
Sumy – ready to help us in doing mercy. They donated finances, cereals, vegetables and
everything necessary for the refectory.

Everything changed on February 24, 2022 – with the Russian attack on our peaceful Ukraine. War, bombing – destroyed cities, poverty, the flow of migrants – immediately increased the number of people requiring help many times over. If earlier we fed 40-70 people daily, now there are from 80 to 200 people daily. At the same time, the people of Ukraine, who provided help with finances and products for our refectory, found themselves on the verge of survival. There are new families with many children in need of help, the poor elderly people, the disabled, refugees…
